It's Almost A Sermon

Well, a sermon (of sorts) is finally in the can.  I'm not sure I'm done tinkering with it, but at least I have something to present to my CPE group.  It's on the Annunciation to Joseph (Matt 1:18-25).  I hope and pray I'm not run out on a rail screaming after the worship preview Friday.  I'd like to avoid fretting over a complete re-write on Saturday.  I guess I'm nervous because I have absolutely no homiletics training whatsoever.  Nada.  Zilch.  I recall the first rule of preaching from my father: 1) Tell 'em what you're gonna tell 'em, 2) Tell 'em, and 3) Tell 'em what you told 'em.  Presently, it runs about 7 minutes long.  That's good.  My primary audience will be this Sunday's 10:30 a.m. congregation at Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads, I imagine less is probably more with that crowd.  Anyway, it seems in line with what I've heard from the two Episcopal priests (chaplains) at GHBC.  I'll post the final product that I actually present Sunday morning.  In the meantime, any and all prayers will be greatly appreciated.
