Is This Why Coach Gibbs Is Here?

Yesterday, it was suggested to me that Joe Gibbs is here, now, with the Redskins, to help guide the Washington organization and fan base through its grieving.  To shepherd us through this tragic event of the needless, senseless, horrible attack on and subsequent death of Sean Taylor.  It fell on deaf ears then.  But a good friend of mine raised that sentiment again in response to my post yesterday.  Maybe?  Perhaps.  Could God's Providence be so far reaching and ahead of its time to manage that?  Well, probably not.  In fact, I hope not.  Like the whole argument about "It's God's Will", the Almighty Father and Creator of All Things did not mean for this to happen to Sean Taylor.  I refuse to believe this was part of God's Game Plan.  No, people - SHIT HAPPENS!  This is one of those instances "when bad things happen to good people".  I don't buy that Taylor deserved this.  His sketchy past or poor judgment or being in the wrong place at the wrong time is no justification for this horrible tragedy.  I think I've been in a funk all day.  I had hoped and prayed this was all a bad dream and that someone would come out to say something about erroneous earlier reports.  But confirmation after confirmation was rolling in one after another beginning at day break today and they kept on coming.  It's bad.  I am grateful Joe Gibbs is the President and Head Coach of the Washington Redskins today.  It isn't always about winning, Super Bowls and Lombardi Trophies.  Thanks Jeffy!  We will be at the game this Sunday vs. the Buffalo Bills at FedEx Field.  Lord only knows what will happen.  Whatever happens will be okay.  My faith tells me Sean Taylor is in a far better place now and that he is okay.  It will take some time for the rest of us to catch up with him.  He was damn good, and we will miss him terribly.

Rest In Peace, Sean Taylor.
