When asked the question, my usual response is "Not long enough".

The question?  How long have you been married?

Today is Chrissie's and my 27th Wedding Anniversary.  We continue to be blessed beyond measure!

Asking her to marry me was the most important and best decision I ever made as an adult.  Chrissie saying Yes was the greatest affirmation I have ever received in my life.  I sometimes marvel at how the Lord works in and through our lives.  With all the possible twists and turns that could have prevented this union from being, there was guidance and direction that ultimately made it a reality.  Ordained it was.  We know that!  Sometimes we joke about how my parents would come home from Wednesday night chapel at VTS and say, "G & E McF have three lovely daughters!  We don't care which one you marry, but marry one of them!"  On the other hand, Chrissie's folks would say, "Well, you could always marry David Crosby because you know you'd have great in-laws!".

It hasn't all been easy.  We've had issues which we had to deal with and work through.  But anything worth having is worth working at!

Lord, I thank you for this greatest blessing in my life: Chrissie, my wife, companion, lover and friend.  Like your saving grace which is freely given, I know I did not earn this grace for my life.  It was given to me.  And for that, I thank you as I treasure her.  I cherish her.  I am immensely grateful for her.  Thank you, God, for leading me to her, and for putting 'Yes' in her heart.

We are the luckiest ever!  Amen.

Happy Anniversary
Would you share that luckiest ever status with Harv & me? We're looking forward to 29 years on Sunday.

Love to you both,
Pam
