She's Leaving Home, Bye-Bye

This afternoon my sweetie and a dear friend of ours depart for Budapest, Hungary and Prague in the Czech Republic for 10 days.  They are flying over to visit a niece who is schooling in Budapest.  "Kendall the K" turns 21 on April 7th.  Chrissie had told all the 'niblings' that should they be in Europe when they reach their 21st birthday, she/we would be with them to celebrate.  (I think I'm glad there's only one more niece this might apply to)  Happy Birthday, K!  My gift to you is this time with Chrissie.

I'm excited for Chrissie she is getting to travel, even if it means we are apart from one another.  I am staying behind to tend to the boys (big guy Mulligan and little dude Gibbs) as well as work on some other things myself (preparing my app to VTS, studying for GREs, etc.).  We really don't like being apart from one another, but I am so happy for her that she is going.  Chrissie loves to travel.  And Ali is a good traveling companion.  Between the three of us, at least one of us has been on every J2A Pilgrimage sponsored by Grace Church.  We were all together for the first journey to the southwestern states, then Chrissie did Rome, Ali & I went to Scotland, and Chrissie & Ali made Germany with the last group.  I know they are both in good hands.  Each others.

O God, our heavenly Father, whose glory fills the whole creation, and whose presence we find wherever we go: Preserve those who travel, in particular Chrissie and Alison; surround them with your loving care; protect them from every danger; and bring them in safety to their journey's end; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
