The WORD Became Flesh and Dwelt Among Us

It is quiet this Christmas morn.  The dogs have rustled and been fed, coffee was brewed and crumb cake eaten, the morning paper has been stirred through, and stocking stuffers and other gifts were opened.  Now it is quiet again, save for the gurgle of water cascading through pipes in the closet nearby as a shower runs upstairs.  The sun is out, and there is a warm glow to the room where I am sitting.  The stillness is good and comforting.  There is a strong, but gentle sense that Love is in this world.  The Love of God, for God, and for others.  It was here yesterday, and it will still abide tomorrow.  But for the now, it is different, it is special and it is quiet.  I love this.

Thank you, God, for the gift of your Son.  May we be always grateful for the Grace that He is, and thankful for the Glory that He brings.
