Slowly Letting 2008 Slip Away

It's been a pretty low-key New Years Eve Day for us.  We woke to snow, which eventually led to the cancellation of the noon-day eucharist we'd hoped to attend at Grace, Amherst.  So A+ and L, Heart Of My Hearts and I ventured out into the snowy world to visit get some eats and visit the church.  Here are some images from the day:

Adirondack chairs from Virginia friends adorn the back porch; Rufus adds his own flourish to the freshly fallen snow.

Miss L at the The Black Sheep Cafe; A deli commentary of the almost former administration.

A quick visit to Grace, Amherst: the chancel area, and a view from the sacristy.

Pay attention to the red flags; behold the winter wonderland, and then home again where the hearth is still warm.

It's hard to believe today is the last day of the Year 2008.  And yet it's very exciting that 2009 is just hours aways.

May the Lord bless us and keep us, the Lord make his face to shine upon us.  The Lord lift up his countenance upon us, and give us His Peace.  Now and always.  Amen.

Dear family and friends everywhere, Happy New Year!  Please remember always how you are cherished and loved.
