I've been around or involved in too much estrangement, caught up in too many separations, and survived lots of changes in relationships because of death or divorce.  They happen, and I'm always sorry for them.  Each and every time.  I've witnessed too much hurt, experienced too much pain, and experienced way too much anger.  But I remain a person of faith who is still full of hope.

My hope is that I always respond to "Those whom God has joined together let no one put asunder" with a hearty "AMEN!"

And I pray I can be there for both of them, in their new lives, in new and different ways.  God be with them both.
