Good Questions For Reflection

I am presently reading Praying Our Days: a Guide and Companion, by The Most Rev. Frank T. Griswold, 25th Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church.

In Chapter Three: I Have Met You In Your Sacraments, Bishop Griswold offers some prayers of preparation with regard to making your confession and questions for reflection before entering into self-examination.  The following questions are particularly good ones to consider at any time in a life of a believer and follower of the OUr Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I thought I should capture these here for my own use, and to share with others:

How central to my life is my desire to discern and fulfill God's loving purpose for me?

Am I open to becoming ever more the person God created me to be?

Have I betrayed the dignity I have been given as a child of God?

How have I used and misused the gifts and talents God has given me?

How have I responded to the opportunities for witness and service that has been set before me?

Have I given witness to God's love in my relationships?

Am I ready to receive God's mercy and forgiveness?

These are good questions, indeed, for reflection.
