More Progress Toward the Memorial Garden

Standing across from where side narthex entrance had been; Aspinwall to the right.

From the curb on the Grove looking back to the chapel.

What had been the great window above the altar with "Go Ye Into All the World and Preach the Gospel."

The far side looking back toward Aspinwall; the sacristy to the left is almost gone.

Looking through the chapel back to the cupola of Aspinwall.

The Tower and Narthex wall, most of which will be preseved for the garden.

I posted these pics yesterday to Facebook and have received a variety of responses: both sadness, even hurt, and joy and thanksgiving.  These and a reflection from Henri J. M. Nouwen's Bread for the Journey on Community apparently helped a classmate with her sermon.  Hmmm.
