Music Choice on Comcast

Okay, its official. Toys are toys, whether you play with them often or not. While Chrissie's folks visited over Thanksgiving, we had cable added for the main floor sitting room TV. Among other things (better reception, more channels, not having to descend to the man cave to watch sports or movies), I can sit and listen to tunes from Music Choice while I play on our PC. As you might expect from cable, they have a huge variety of channels:

Traditional Christmas Music, Today's Country, Classic Country, Bluegrass, R&B and Hip-Hop, Classic R&B, Smooth R&B, R&B Hits, Rap [uncensored], Metal [uncensored], Rock, Arena Rock, Classic Rock, Alternative [uncensored], Retro-Active, Electronica [uncensored?], Dance, Adult Alternative, Soft Rock, Hit List, Party Favorites, '90s, '80s, '70s, Solid Gold Oldies, Singers & Standards, Big Band & Swing, Easy Listening, Smooth Jazz, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Soundscapes, ...., Show Tunes, Contemporary Christian, Gospel, Radio Disney (Arrrg!), Sounds of the Season, ...... and on & on. Jeeesh!

Right now, I'm listening to Arena Rock (Channel 412) play Motley Crue's "Smokin' in the Boys Room" while they show funny, odd, not necessarily flattering pictures of the band while giving trivia about the band or band members, i.e.:

o  Vince Neil, lead singer and front man for Motley Crue, temporarily left Motley Crue and was replaced by John Corabi
o  Drummer Tommy Lee of Motley Crue was born Thomas Lee Bass
o  Vince Neil lost his daughter, Skylar, to stomach cancer in 1995
o  Nikki Sixx, bass player and large contributor of songs written for Motley Crue, was born Frank Carlton Serafino Ferrarra
o  Vince Neil has two children, Neil & Elizabeth

Yes, it's a Toy! However, since Dan Snyder (owner of the Washington Redskins) plans to buy out the last remaining classical station in the DC Metropolitan area (WGMS) to boost his fledgling sports talk radio empire, Chrissie will be happy to know she can put on Channels 434 (Classical Masterpieces), 435 (Opera), and 436 (Light Classical).

The truth be told, she'll be on Arena Rock right along with me!  ROCK ON, BABY!
